Going Vegan or Plant-based is not always simple! For many, it is more than a diet change–it is a complete life makeover, and truly, this is how it should be. The transition can be daunting when having to wade through all the information available to us today. That’s where I come in!

Going Vegan was a long process for me; I didn’t have any Vegan friends, and I wasn’t entirely sure what I was doing. Because of this, it took much longer than it could have to make the full leap. I had no idea that even most non-leather shoes weren’t Vegan! I didn’t know how to read cryptic food labels, and eating out was a challenge that I didn’t want to face. But eventually it happened– I knew what I was doing. And I was good at it. Soon enough, being Vegan became a breeze for me and embracing my new lifestyle became easy, and so very fulfilling.

After a year of being vegan and learning the ropes, I decided it was time to make the leap to a Whole-food Plant-based diet. I knew it was time to go deeper and gain more knowledge, so I decided to obtain a certificate of Plant-based Nutrition from Cornell University. Through this program, my understanding of how a WFPB diet helps support the body grew exponentially, as well as my passion for health and plants.

Going Vegan is the best thing I have ever done for the animals and the environment, and changing my diet to be Whole-food Plant-based was the best thing I have ever done for my health. Veganism is an ever-changing journey; sometimes this journey can be scary, but most days it provides a bright light that makes every part of our lives better.
